COLUMBUS, OHIO —Hosted e-business selling solutions provider fourthchannel, inc., began a development alliance with Shadowpack, Inc., a wireless solutions provider.

The partnership extends the functionality of fourthchannel's e-business solutions suite. That includes catalog, order management, personalization, merchandising, and configuration, to users of a wide variety of wireless devices, including personal digital assistants, smart phones, pagers and Web tablets.

With the new wireless functionality, manufacturers' and distributors' sales teams can access catalog information, retrieve current prices and create and manage pending orders, while on a sales call or in an office or warehouse. Wireless enhancements also support fourthchannel's advanced configuration and assisted selling capabilities.
