No STAFDA meeting would be complete without some first-rate outings, parties and entertainment. The pre-convention fun kicks off Saturday, Nov. 3, with the STAFDA Golf Scramble at the Gaylord Springs Golf Links. Designed by former US Open and PGA champion Larry Nelson, the links-style course offers 18 scenic holes of top-rate golf. The course will host 144 STAFDA members in a scramble tournament.
STAFDA’s Red, Hot & Country Opening Party will run from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday evening, Nov. 4, featuring local country music entertainment and a buffet dinner. Members will then board buses for the Grand Ole Opry where they’ll be treated to a private concert by country music star Martina McBride.
The convention ends Tuesday evening, Nov. 6, with STAFDA’s Southern Elegance Party, featuring food, drinks and local band the Music City Wranglers. Members will have one last chance to network and socialize before heading home and making plans for STADFA’s 32nd Annual Convention & Trade Show, set for November 2008 in Denver.
