The A 2Z23 (in. series) and A 2Z23M (metric series) miniature right-angle speed reducers are designed to operate in any output direction (reverse, same or dual) and are ideal for connecting accessory instruments, reversing the rotation of flexible shafts and controlling 2 units through 1 power source. The 4 oz. units come with twin hex nuts for simplified mounting and crossed-helical gears for 8 output ratios ranging from 1:1 to 25:1, with horsepower ratings ranging from 1/20 to 1/8 HP. They feature black-anodized die-cast aluminum housings with hardened steel helical gears, steel shafts, threaded brass bushings and grease fittings. Input and output shaft diameters are .250 in. (6 mm). Manual torque capacities for units up to 5:1 gear ratios are 28 lb.-in. (3.2 Nm), and above 5:1 gear ratios are 20 lb.-in. (2.3 Nm). Available from stock.
