Donald Schalk is the new president and COO of the CH Briggs Co.

CH Briggs owner and former president Julia Klein will retain the titles of chairman and CEO.

Before joining Briggs, Schalk was president and general manager of Energy United Propane LLC, a regional energy company in North Carolina.

Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Richland Partners LLC, dba Leffler Energy, a petroleum distribution company formed through a management buyout of Columbia Petroleum.

Headquartered in Reading, Pa., CH Briggs is one of the largest independently owned distributors of specialty building products on the East Coast.
