Adelizzi new executive vice president of ASAMichael Adelizzi is the new executive vice president of the American Supply Assn. He succeeds Inge Calderon, who is now the executive director of the ASA Education Foundation.
“Mike Adelizzi is a career association professional, who we believe will bring a combination of strong leadership experience and excellent people skills to the job,” says ASA president Joel Becker. “He'll be a tremendous asset to our entire organization.”
Until recently, Adelizzi was executive director/CEO of the Mason Contractors Assn. of America. He has also worked with the Illinois Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors.
“The more I learned about the ASA through the interview process, the more I became excited about the strength of the association and the commitment of the entire organization,” Adelizzi says. “I am looking forward to meeting and working closely with ASA members to expand the association's services and influence beyond the successes that we already have enjoyed.”

Lambert to head ISEA BoardWilliam Lambert, president and COO of Mine Safety Appliances Co. in Pittsburgh, has been elected chairman of the International Safety Equipment Assn. board of trustees.
Lambert has been an ISEA board member since 2002. He succeeds Michael McLain, chairman, president and CEO of Aearo Technologies of Indianapolis, who will remain on the ISEA board as past chairman.
Charles Ellis, president of North Safety Products of Cranston, R.I., was elected vice chairman of the board.
Newly elected members to the board are Julie Bushman, vice president, 3M Co. Occupational Health & Environmental Safety Division.; Brian Lyons, vice president of sales & marketing, International Enviroguard Systems Inc.; and Joseph Reimer, senior vice president, Fall Protection Division of Sperian Protection.
The elections took place at ISEA's recent annual meeting in Austin, Texas.

Sen. Grassley honored by NAMThe National Assn. of Manufacturers recently presented its Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence to Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley.
The NAM Award is presented to members of Congress who vote in the best interest of the manufacturing economy at least 70 percent of the time, based on what a special committee of NAM member companies define as Key Manufacturing Votes.
Key Manufacturing Votes for the 109th Congress included domestic energy supply, legal reform and tax policy, among other topics.
Senator Grassley's voting record for the 109th Congress was rated at 95 percent by the NAM.
“Sen. Grassley's record demonstrates both his understanding of manufacturing's critical role in the overall strength of our economy and a willingness to do what is necessary to boost competitiveness, job creation and prosperity,” said Kirk Tyler, president of Atlantic Bottling Co. and chairman of the Iowa Assn. of Business & Industry.
