Channellock featured on debut episode of DIY Network’s “Cool Tools”

CHANNELLOCK is getting the do-it-yourself treatment.

The company is set to be featured on the premiere of DIY Network's “Cool Tools” show Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22.

The show's producers spent a day at the 121-year-old hand tool manufacturer's Meadville, Pa., headquarters last year, filming the transformation of a rod of raw high-carbon steel into a pair of pliers.

“We were able to get a sneak peak of the segment, and we're truly pleased with the results,” Channellock director of communications Randy Ferguson says. “[The producers] did a great job of documenting our world-class manufacturing processes in a progressive and light-hearted style that viewers are sure to enjoy.”

Cool Tools highlights the latest in hand tools and accessories, ranging from see-in-the-dark gloves to improvements on old standbys. Each episode features a factory tour detailing what's involved in the manufacture of a variety of tools, including paint and pressure, buck knives and duct tape.
