EnPro Industries buys compressor seals maker

EnPro Industries Inc. acquired compressor seals maker Compressor Products International for an undisclosed amount.

Hungerford, England-based CPI manufactures sealing components for reciprocating compressors and related equipment for compressor manufacturers and the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

Charlotte-based EnPro, which manufactures sealing products, metal polymer and filament wound bearings, compressor systems, diesel and dual-fuel engines and other engineered products, said it will integrate CPI into its Stafford, Texas-based France Compressor Products division, creating the largest reciprocating compressor sealing components maker in the world.
