Unloading robot
Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 10/1/2007
The robot unloader uses a lifting mechanism after a part is cut off and discharged to singulate and position the part so it can be unloaded by the robot arm. The robot uses a strong magnet to lift parts and can be programmed to tilt the part to dump any coolant prior to stacking. It can then stack the part in a bundle frame or move it to the next operation. The robot's 180º swing capability allows it to service 2 machines by swinging back and forth.
