FPDA Fall Meeting Oct. 11-14

The Fluid Power Distributors Assn. will host its Fall Meeting at the InterContinental Hotel in Kansas City, Mo., Oct. 11-14.
Titled “Markets in Motion,” the event will feature seminars, peer roundtable discussions, social events and a tabletop exhibit program highlighting the latest automation and motion control products in the marketplace.
Speakers include Jaynie L. Smith of SmartAdvantage Inc., who will present, “Competitive Advantage: Is Yours a Hit or a Myth?”; David S. Bauders of Strategic Pricing Associates Inc. on “Strategic Pricing Management for Distribution;” economist Jeff Dietrich of The Institute for Trend Research on “Markets in Motion: A Look at the Future” of fluid power markets; and Dr. Barry Asmus of the National Center for Policy Analysis, who will close the meeting with a macro-economic outlook entitled, “America's Economic Future: Six Unstoppable Trends.”
FPDA's Best Practices Roundtable sessions will cover topics including channel relationships, compensation management, product technology and sales excellence.
The tabletop exhibit program is called the “Innovation in Motion” Showcase and spans two days. Members can learn about the newest automation and motion control products Friday, Oct. 12, during the welcome reception and on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 13.
