Colonial Tool acquires Advance Cutting Tool

Colonial Tool Group Inc. acquired Advance Cutting Tool Systems Inc. Both companies are based in Windsor, Ontario.
Advance Cutting Tool manufactures carbide insert boring, milling and broaching tools used by the automotive and aerospace industries.
Colonial Tool Group designs and manufactures precision broaching tools, spline rolling racks and RAS precision machine spindles used mainly by the automotive industry.
“The acquisition of Advance Cutting Tool will complement our growing precision machine spindle manufacturing business by allowing [us] to provide complete spindle and tooling packages,'' said Paul Thrasher, a principal with Colonial Tool Group. “By acquiring these capabilities, we will be able to better satisfy the customer with faster quoting, manufacturing and delivery of spindle/tooling packages.''
Advance Cutting Tool will be integrated into Colonial's two manufacturing facilities in Windsor and Taylor, Mich. The acquisition will bring the total number of Colonial employees to 95.
