Panduit Corp. donates $250,000 to NAED Foundation
The Panduit Corp recently made a $250,000 donation to the National Assn. of Electrical Distributors' Education & Research Foundation.
“We believe firmly that the work of the NAED Education & Research Foundation is critical to the growth and development of our industry and offer wholehearted support for their efforts,” said Bernie Westapher, vice president of marketing services for Panduit, a manufacturer of products for wiring and communications applications.
Panduit's donation will become part of an endowment fund for the foundation. The principal amount of the endowment will remain untouched, while the interest will be used to commission future projects and studies.
“We are grateful for Panduit's contribution to the Foundation's endowment fund. They have supported NAED in many ways, including contributing to the Foundation's annual campaign,” said Dick Waterman, chairman of the Channel Advantage Partnership and executive vice president/CEO of Rexel Inc.

ISSA announces participants in CIMS case studyThe International Sanitary Supply Assn. has selected 24 building service contractors and in-house cleaning departments in the United States and Canada to participate in the Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) Certification Case Study Program.
The companies will be the first to undergo individual assessments in order to become certified for the cleaning industry's new consensus-based management standards.
ISSA plans to help promote the organizations who achieve certification in their specialized marketing case studies, targeting the purchasing and facilities management communities.
“Despite the fact that certification is not currently available beyond these selected case studies,”said Dan Wagner, ISSA Standards development manager, “we are already receiving applications from groups who want to be first to certify once we officially open the program this fall.”
To become certified, all applicants must submit written documentation supporting their compliance with the requirements. An ISSA-accredited third-party assessor will then conduct an on-site review.
