Brady buys Swedish company

Brady Corp. completed its acquisition of Tradex Converting AB from EQT Partners, a Stockholm, Sweden-based private equity firm, for approximately $151.6 million.

Tradex, with fiscal 2005 sales of roughly $94 million, makes pressure sensitive, die-cut adhesive components for the mobile handset and electronics industries. It employs approximately 1,000 people around the world and has manufacturing operations in Sweden, China, South Korea and Brazil.

Brady Corp. makes complete solutions that identify and protect premises, products and people. Its products include high-performance labels and signs, safety devices, printing systems and software, and precision die-cut materials. Brady is headquartered in Milwaukee and employs 6,600 people in operations in the United States, Europe, Asia/Pacific, Latin America and Canada.
