Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 5/1/2006
The Safety Week 2006 Annual Conference, hosted by the Safety Equipment Distributors Assn., will be held June 25–27 at the Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Ga. The conference offers attendees three days of networking and speaker presentations, through which they'll learn about growing their businesses, sales force management, and global issues.
Conference speakers include: Steven S. Little, who will lead a session on "Growing Your Business in the 21st Century: Lessons Learned from America's Business Growth Leaders," where he'll identify the best practices of organizations that achieve sustained and profitable growth; Robert Nadeau, of Industrial Performance Group, who will speak on "Overcoming the Five Common Barriers to Peak Sales Performance;" Brian Beaulieu, of the Institute for Trends Research, who'll conduct a seminar on "China and India—Business Friends or Foes;" and Margaret Barnette, assistant port director of trade operations at the Port of Atlanta, who will speak on "Balancing Border Security and Facilitating Trade."
This year's Best Practices Roundtables are expected to address some hot topics, including employee incentive and compensation plans; driving supplier programs and improving sales; and discussions of the Key Performance Indicator Survey and the annual SEDA profit survey.
Other activities planned for the conference include supplier table top displays, with products from raw materials suppliers and manufacturers; a scramble golf tournament; the executive conference appointments, Safety Week's popular, face-to-face sessions between manufacturers and distributors; and networking opportunities, such as a receptions, lunches, business meetings and the final night's Awards Banquet and Dinner.
