BSA to Meet in Sarasota
Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 3/1/2006
The Bearing Specialists Assn. will host its 40th Annual Convention, titled "The Greatest Bearing Show on Earth," at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota in Sarasota, Fla., Apr. 22–25. Program planners have aligned the agenda with the association's strategic plan, which identifies BSA as "the forum to enhance networking, knowledge sharing, and to promote the sale of bearings through authorized distributors."
Business activities and meetings include the annual business meeting, a conference table session, and time for individual private meetings.
Speakers included in the convention's business program: Mark Sanborn, president of Sanborn & Assoc., an idea lab dedicated to developing leaders in business and life, who will speak to attendees on leadership, change, teamwork and customer service; and Mac Fulfer, a speaker and lecturer who gives presentations on face reading.
Fun and networking activities include golf and tennis tournaments; a trip through Mote Marine, an extensive research facility on marine life with several interactive and educational exhibits; deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico; and the Ringling Museum of Art, which features more than 500 years of European and American art collected by John Ringling, of Ringling Bros. circus fame.
