Safety video highlights drilling hazards
Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 2/1/2006
The National Drilling Assn. plans an early 2006 release of its "Drilling Safety" video, highlighting job hazards and outlining safe practices for new employees, as well as experienced drillers.
The video begins with mobilization and the set-up process and continues through drilling operation and shut-down practices. Topics such as personal protective equipment, government regulatory issues and maintenance will be addressed.
"The video has been designed to cover everything a drill crew encounters from the time they load up the truck in the morning to the time they arrive back at the shop," said Dan Dunn, chairman of the NDA Safety Committee. "It's a valuable tool for reinforcing safety fundamentals with experienced drillers."
The video also raises awareness of how critical safety and training are to effective company operation, Dunn said.
To order a copy of the video, call the NDA at (727)577-5006 or email pat@nda4u.com.
