Clarification

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 8/1/2005

In the News section of ID's May, 2005 issue ("Four leading distributors to benefit from organic growth," p. 25), we incorrectly stated that National Waterworks, Inc. had total debt outstanding of $2.13 billion at year-end 2004. The sentence should have read that all four companies—National Waterworks, Grainger, Inc., Hughes Supply, Inc., and WESCO Distribution, Inc.—together had total debt outstanding of $2.13 billion.

In the listing of the Top 10 electrical distributors in the June, 2005 issue ("The Big 50," p. 49), Rexel, Inc., was listed as No. 2, with sales totaling $6.8 billion Euro. If listed in U.S. dollars, as the other companies were, Rexel's sales would be $8.2 billion, putting them in the No. 1 spot.
