Starrett's Gladiator Pulsator tooth design boasts increased sawing efficiencies and longer blade life

The Gladiator Pulsator high-performance, bi-metal saw blades provide greater wear and heat resistance for increased sawing efficiencies and longer blade life.

Offered by L.S. Starrett Co., the blades have a specially designed tooth edge that allows the teeth to cut in an aggressive, surging cutting action for maximum blade performance; and they also feature electron beam welded bi-metal construction with fatigue-resistant alloy steel backing for higher wear and heat resistance.

The tooth design includes a variable tooth height, and set, triple-tempered M42 high-speed steel teeth of 8% cobalt and up to a 12° rake angle. The combined features allow the blades to provide easy penetration, excellent chip clearance, improved surface finishes, and faster, straighter cuts. Variable pitch teeth offer reduced vibration and noise levels for smooth, quick cutting.

Gladiator Pulsator is ideal for cutting large, solid sections of exotic and nickel-based alloys and high-hardness steels. Blades cut two shapes—square and circular—and are furnished in six different widths and thicknesses, from 1 in. × .035 in. to 3 1/8 in. × .063 in. The blades also are available in a range of steels—from mild to stainless, up to 42 HRC.
