CHANNELLOCK SHOWS OFF ITS LASER TECHNOLOGY, IMPROVED NUTBUSTER AND ELECTRICIANS' SET
While the company's products have been known to outperform other tools, CHANNELLOCK also boasts a laser heat treating system that gives its products a commanding edge over the competition. CHANNELLOCK's proprietary process provides distinct benefits over the traditional induction hardening used by others because it places cutting edges and teeth into perpetual compression, allowing the surface to better withstand the stresses of fatigue and impact; significantly increases the lifespan of cutting edges and teeth; and achieves higher surface hardness with less part distortion. As an example, the laser-hardened busting edges on the company's pliers have been tested to cut tempered piano wire more than 150,000 times in succession without failing.
CHANNELLOCK's Nutbuster #307, formerly a single-joint, fixed-rivet design with limited jaw capacity, has been improved to include the PermaLock fastener, and has been redesigned as a slip-joint plier with jaw capacities from 0 in. to 7/8 in. The tool also features a short jaw length and parrot nose design; right-angled teeth that grip in all directions; 7 in. of overall length; and blue comfort grips.
The GS-10 Electricians' Set features two of CHANNELLOCK's most popular plier styles, including the #369 Lineman's Plier, which features a perfectly mated cutter; drop-forged, polished high carbon steel composition; smooth operating box joint construction; and a useful crushing area between the two handles. The #430 Tongue and Groove Plier features 10 in. of overall length; seven adjustments; 2-in. jaw capacity; patented undercut tongue and groove design that won't slip; and patented reinforcing edge for increased strength and durability.
