Real Time Solutions, a provider of hardware and software order-filling systems for warehouses and distribution centers, launched a new web-based graphical user interface that will improve the functionality and ease-of-use of the company's existing product interface.

Improvements in the new interface include increased management reporting and supervisory information, which features new screens to view information on productivity, order status, work status, workload planning, and data download status. The system also enables picker productivity to be measured against historical data or against standards set by supervisory personnel.

The advantages of the web-based system over previous versions include its ability to be used by supervisors on a PC configured with a networked web browser. This reduces hardware costs by eliminating the need to purchase dedicated supervisor terminals, and allows report printing to any networked printer, rather than to a dedicated printer.
