Rugged computer cool as ice

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 7/1/2004

The GX-1200 computer, the next generation forklift and fixed-mount rugged computer, is designed to meet the rigors of the warehousing, manufacturing, and time and attendance marketplaces.

Developed by Glacier Computer, the GX-1200 is equipped with a 1.2 GHz Pentium processor; offers custom-integrated dual-diversity antennas designed for unmatched RF coverage; and is able to withstand the vibration and shock of a forklift installation. The GX-1200 also features a space and cost-saving mini-PCI module, a slim profile enclosure with flat-panel LCD, and an optional integrated Bluetooth module for scanner and printer communication.

"We specifically designed this system to provide our customers with the functionality, ruggedness and value needed to meet the demands of their applications, while maintaining the quality they have come to expect from our products," says Ron D'Ambrosio, president of Glacier Co.
