Delivering supply chain value

NEWARK, CALIF.—Suppliers to the retail home improvement and building materials and supplies industries are experiencing impressive results by using the supply chain integration solution from ADX–Advanced Data Exchange, according to three case studies released by the company.
For the last seven years, ADX has delivered value throughout supply chains in many key vertical industries, from manufacturing and energy to food and industrial distribution. ADX has seen significant momentum in the retail hardlines and building materials and supplies segment, where suppliers and large retailers are realizing hard dollar savings and eliminating the paper-based processes by exchanging business documents through the ADX network.
Thousands of manufacturers and suppliers use ADX to connect electronically with retailers. Three new supplier-focused studies, including Spray Nine Corp. and Village Nurseries Wholesale, are available on ADX's Web site (www.adx.com). Spray Nine, in Johnson, N.Y., has manufactured multi-purpose cleaning products for more than 50 years, and in 2000, enrolled in the ADX network. Today, they trade electronically with 18 partners.
"What steered me towards ADX was that our ROI was a lot quicker than with other EDI services," says Jack Case, vice president of information technology. "Not only does ADX save in terms of actual costs, but we've also seen significant gains in productivity."
