Software that can improve contractor efficiencies

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 2/1/2004

MOUNT PROSPECT, IL. —Bosch Digital Power Tools and The Lee Evans Group have announced the availability of EasyData for Punch List, a set of construction methods and steps that automate the building process for contractors.

With EasyData for Bosch Punch List, the specifics of the construction sequence used by the builder, and contact information for the subcontractors, vendors and suppliers, are loaded into the Punch List program once. The superintendent can then bring up the specific set of steps and resources to use on each building being constructed, and track the progress electronically with a hand-held device. This automates the most routine steps on the construction process while minimizing mistakes and, ultimately, automating the communication with subcontractors and suppliers.

"By combining our well-established set of practices in the construction industry with Punch List, we are able to assist contractors with their daily needs so they can focus their attention on the final product," said Chuck Shinn, president of Shinn Consulting and The Lee Evans Group.
