Danly buys Lempco assets

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 2/1/2004

Boston—Connell Limited Partnership, a Boston-based manufacturer of aluminum alloy and industrial equipment, acquired selected assets of Lempco Industries, a privately held manufacturer of die sets and die set supplies based in Cleveland.

Connell's wholly owned businesses include Wabash Alloys, Yuba Heat Transfer and Danly IEM. Lempco Industries will be consolidated into the Danly IEM business.

"The acquisition will allow us to expand our product offerings and increase our market presence in the automotive, appliance and canning industries," said Jordan Owens, president of Danly IEM.

Lempco's former president Richard Myles will join Danly IEM as Lempco Business Unit manager. Concurrent with the sale, the company has absorbed Lempco Manufacturing, formerly located in New Lexington, Ohio, into the Danly IEM Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio and Wisconsin facilities.
