Memorial Scholarship winnersThe Industrial Distribution Assn. and its Young Executive Forum announced four winners of the John R. Stallings Memorial Scholarships at the I.D.A. Distributor and Manufacturer Business Expo in Rosemont, Ill., in November.
Winners include Mick Arnold, president/CEO of Arnold's Factory Supplies in Baltimore; Alex Baker, customer service rep at R.P.M., Inc. in Grand Rapids, Mich.; Mitch Ornstein, director of supply chain management at Replenex in Eden Prairie, Minn.; and Chip Schramm, vice president/branch coordinator at Turner Supply Co. in Birmingham, Ala.
The scholarships were for the University of Industrial Distribution's Mar. 7–10, 2004, session in Indianapolis, and include tuition, hotel accommodations and airfare reimbursed up to $1,500.

NIBA electionsNIBA–The Belting Assn. has announced the election of officers for its Board of Directors.
Bruce Dieleman, director of business growth at Sparks Belting Co. in Grand Rapids, Mich., has been elected president. Other officers include Ted Lushch, from Jerry Bros. Industries, as first vice president; Tom Richardson, of Conveyor Accessories, Inc., as second vice president; and René Morf, of VIS USA, LLC, as treasurer. Immediate past president, Charlie Vickers, senior vice president of McLeod Belting Co., also will serve on the Executive Committee.

PTDA sponsors IFPE 2005The Power Transmission Distributors Assn. has become a sponsoring organization of IFPE 2005—The International Exposition for Power Transmission. PTDA will host a pavilion at the IFPE show, Mar. 15–19, 2005 in Las Vegas, and PTDA members exhibiting at the pavilion will save 15 percent off the non-member space rate.
IFPE is a leading international exposition and technical conference devoted to power transmission and motion control technologies. It brings together buyers and specifiers from key markets such as owners, managers and design engineers, with exhibitors of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical components, systems and controls.

NIRA's new leadershipThe NorthAmerican Industrial Representatives Assn. board of directors recently completed the election of new officers and board members to serve the association over the next two to three years.
