NAW to meet in Washington

Washington —The National Assn. of Wholesaler-Distributors will hold its annual Executive Summit, Jan. 26–28 in Washington, D.C.
"Forecast 2004" will be held at the Capital Hilton Hotel. Among the speakers and presenters will be an array of Washington and business insiders, including Senator Rick Santorum (R-Pa.), who will speak on "Communicating Ideas Effectively in the Public Policy Marketplace," and Congressman Richard Burr (R-N.C.), who will receive NAW's National Leadership Award. Burr was a wholesale distribution professional before entering politics.
Also participating will be Paul Gigot, editorial page editor, The Wall Street Journal, and Adam J. Fein, president of Pembroke Consulting and one of two NAW Distribution Research and Education Foundation Fellows. He is executive editor of the DREF-sponsored study, Facing the Forces of Change 2004, slated for release in March, and will give a preview of the study 's findings at the January meeting.
