Proactive collections management

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 12/1/2003

LEWISVILLE, TEXAS — Dimasys Software, a developer of business automation solutions for small and mid-sized wholesale distributors, has announced the availability of Enspire Credit and Collections SnapOn option. Enspire Credit and Collections automates many of the operations of collections management, bringing consistency to the process and allowing distributors to become more proactive in resolving the issues that may cause payment delays.

"Accounts receivable is often a forgotten asset in business automation for distributors," says Gary Simon, Dimasys president. "Most packages focus on inventory management and traditional accounting, but fail to provide robust tools to help distributors complete the sales cycle. With delinquent receivables…more effectively managing this asset can positively impact a distributor's bottom line."

The Credit and Collections SnapOn is fully integrated with other Enspire financial applications. It creates a rules-based work queue for each collector that adjusts based on that individual's workload, automatically generates dunning letters and other correspondence that can be faxed or e-mailed, and provides unlimited notes on both the account and invoice level. It also reproduces and transmits invoices to provide an efficient and timely solution for customers who cannot locate the bills in question. It also can produce extensive reports such as collection schedules, collector efficiency, customer correspondence logs, and problem analysis logs.

"…The Credit and Collections SnapOn allows us to easily find and update customers' credit information," said David White, president of Kyana Packaging and Industrial Supply, a company that has been using the system. "Automating this process has reduced our days outstanding a measurable amount, and the hard-to-collect-from customer doesn't end up at the bottom of the pile and forgotten. The ROI on Credit and Collections can be measured in months, not years."
