The Ashcroft midi-seal and mini-diaphragm seal complement measuring devices and pressure instruments

The new Ashcroft midi-seal, Type 311/312, is a sleek, newly designed diaphragm seal small enough to fit into areas where space is limited, but has sufficient displacement to drive a variety of pressure instruments. The seal comes in a small, cost-effective package, and includes features such as continuous duty design; all-welded construction to eliminate possible leakage of the process media; many process connections, including 1-in. male NPT; and a flushing connection option for easy cleaning. The Ashcroft 311/312 can be used with switches, transducers and digital gauges; as well as two sizes of Bourdon tube gauges, 3 ½-in and 4 ½-in.

The new Ashcroft Type 330 mini-diaphragm seal solves the problem of the entrapment of solids in the pockets of instrumentation, which directly affects the performance of pressure measuring devices, with a diaphragm that is flush with the end of the 1-in. male NPT process connection. By eliminating any pocket or dead-leg, the seal prevents particles in the process from interfering with the continuous instrument performance. Because of its design, the diaphragm of the seal can be easily cleaned. The seal has an all-welded construction to prevent leakage, and a 316L stainless steel top housing and diaphragm. It is compatible with switches, transducers, digital gauges and analog pressure gauges from 60 to 1,000 psi, and is offered with a variety of fill-fluid.
