Sixth NorTech Award for Lincoln Electric

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 11/1/2003

CLEVELAND— Lincoln Electric Co. recently won the Northeast Ohio Technology Coalition (NorTech) and Enterprise Development, Inc.'s NorTech Innovation Award. The honor is presented to the northeast Ohio individual, company or nonprofit organization that best creates, develops and successfully implements a new idea.

This was the sixth time in seven years that Lincoln Electric was so honored.

This year's innovation, the Precision TIG arc welding machine, showed superior arc starting and welding at amperage levels as low as two amps. Lincoln Electric said the most common problem in welding is the performance limitations of the welder, and boasted that the Precision TIG 275 and 375 create high-quality welds when used by a welder of almost any skill level.
