Cleveland— Barnes Distribution received the Ariba® Ready™ designation from Ariba, Inc., a provider of software that enables online transactions with buyers.

Barnes Distribution will utilize Ariba® PunchOut™ , allowing customers to "punch out" from the Ariba Buyer solution to Barnes Distribution's e-procurement site to get real-time purchasing information before returning to Ariba to complete the purchase. Ariba PunchOut provides a seamless interface between the end-user's procurement environment and a distributor's online customer-management system.

The distributor of MRO supplies, die and nitrogen gas springs and security products demonstrated its integration ability by providing scalable, repeatable processes for buyers using Ariba's procurement software.
