Spencer new president of Kimberly-Clark

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 10/1/2003

Roswell, Ga.— Kimberly-Clark Professional, North America has named Jan Spencer as its new president. He had been president of Kimberly-Clark Professional, Europe, since 2001.

In his new role, Spencer will be responsible for all towel, tissue, wiper, napkin and skincare products for Kimberly-Clark Professional in North America as well as the Kimberly-Clark's Do-it-Yourself and Safety Divisions. He has been with Kimberly-Clark for 24 years in positions ranging from manufacturing to sales and business management.

Before becoming president of Kimberly-Clark Professional, Europe, Spencer was a vice-president at Workplace Business in North America from 1998 to 2000. In that position, he was responsible for revitalizing the Kimberly-Clark Professional Wipers Business by leveraging Kimberly-Clark's proprietary Hydroknith technology, streamlining production operations, and consolidating the entire wiper product line under the Wypall and Kimtech brands.

"This is a very exciting opportunity for me," said Spencer. "I am looking forward to building on our strong manufacturing foundation while strengthening our reputation as the industry's innovation leader."
