New dispensing station offers laser verification

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. — AutoCrib, Inc. released its latest coil-based Remote Dispensing Station, a point-of-use machine that the company says provides a high level of intelligence.
Refinements include an integrated keypad and recessed barcode scanner. While making the look of the machine much cleaner, it also protects expensive components from damage. AutoCrib also added a unique drop chute for the return of dull tools or mis-dispensed items.
"The new station has the ability to sense if an item has passed into the receiving tray before decrementing inventory levels by using its sophisticated laser verification system. If the system does not detect a break in the beam, it automatically tries again," says Bruce Weaver, vice president of sales and marketing. "This provides end users with an unparalleled level of comfort that they will receive the item they have chosen."
