Bedford, Mass. — MRO Software, Inc., a provider of strategic asset management software, joined the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards. OASIS is a non-profit consortium that drives the development and adoption of e-business standards.

MRO Software said the move demonstrates its commitment to develop and promote standards-based solutions that help customers manage their entire asset portfolio. OASIS members say that to achieve collaboration within their enterprises and with business partners, it has become imperative for firms to define and adhere to an accepted framework for Web services, security, XML content and transactions, and interoperability.
