Wireless intercom units eliminate audio lines

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 3/1/2003

University Park, Ill. — Atkinson Dynamics, an industrial communications company, offers a set of wireless communication devices that are reportedly easy to set up and move. Ideal for temporary locations, the heavy-duty, solid-state units can be mounted on walls or panels, or sit on desks. They operate on standard 120-volt power lines.

The cast aluminum case is rust and vandalism-resistant, and the components are built to withstand continuous vibration. Each unit sends, receives and amplifies the single-channel voice communications. Each station needs supplied power. Applications where sealed intercoms are ideal include offshore drilling rigs, refineries and textile plants.
