Duluth, Ga. – Distribution software provider Software Solutions is now Aperum™. The company changed its name in January as part of a strategy to improve brand identity and reinforce its position as a market leader, the firm said.

Founded in 1979, Aperum offers a suite of software products for distributors, including TakeStock, FACTS and DMAS.

The new company name is derived from the Latin word Aperio, which means "to make clear."

"Our new name captures the essence of our company," said president Randy Keith. "… While our name has changed, we remain resolute in our commitment to deliver quality products and services to our customers, enabling them to more efficiently operate and grow their businesses."

Aperum launched an advertising campaign last month introducing the new name and the company as: "The Clear Choice in Distribution Software."
