ShipNow interfaces shipping with enterprise systems

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 12/1/2002

CHICAGO — ShipNow DI Server is designed to be an integral part of enterprise systems. It forms a common interface to the various carriers and rating systems and connects to database servers such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle 8.x. Capabilities include online tracking, customer service pages and carrier refunds for late or lost packages.

DI Server's architecture can handle complex business rules and back-end processes, which it rapidly executes on a compiled basis. It requires few changes to existing ERP or WMS systems. Centralized architecture allows unification of data across multiple locations to provide enterprise-wide visibility across various platforms
