NxTrend enters CRM market

Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 8/1/2002

Colorado springs— Distribution software vendor NxTrend Technology, Inc. acquired CorpDNA, a Columbus, Ohio-based software company specializing in Customer Relationship Management applications.

The acquisition broadens NxTrend's product offering, giving the firm an immediate presence in the CRM marketplace, said president and CEO Michael J. Cornell. The deal also "complements the overall goals of our continued acquisition strategy," he said.

CorpDNA is a provider of Web-enabled CRM and Sales Force Automation applications and services. The firm serves customers in distribution, as well as professional employer organizations and training and services providers.

There will be no consolidation of offices or personnel as a result of the acquisition, said NxTrend spokesman Matthew Turner.

"This transaction represents a natural extension of NxTrend's focus on creating value for our customers," said Cornell. "CorpDNA has an impressive customer base, an excellent reputation and unique expertise in the CRM industry. We expect the acquisition to show results right away."
