I.D.A.'s membership drive is in full swing
Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 8/1/2002
Atlanta — The Industrial Distribution Assn.'s 2002-2003 membership drive is well underway after its launch in May.
I.D.A.'s new Member-Get-A-Member Drive, dubbed I.D.A. Rewards, encourages anyone in the industrial supply channel to refer prospective members to the association using a special membership drive Web site, which can be accessed at www.idarewards.org.
Those who submit potential member names are entered into a prize drawing. Prizes include a digital camera and business products from I.D.A.'s Source Book, which lists the association's various products and services. The first drawing will be held August 31st. Participants do not have to be I.D.A. members to refer potential members.
This year's top recruiter will receive the choice of an all-expenses paid trip for two to the Caribbean or $1000 cash. The second place winner gets the choice of $500 cash or free convention registration to I.D.A.'s Fall and Spring Conventions. Additional prizes are awarded for each member recruited.
To take part, individuals can submit their distributor colleagues' names and e-mail addresses and I.D.A. will take care of the rest. All information collected is protected and will not be used for purposes other than member recruitment, according to I.D.A. Companies that join I.D.A. will receive a coupon book worth $500 in savings on I.D.A. conventions, business products and dues.
I.D.A. hopes to recruit 150 new members before May, 2003.
