ID gets a new online look
John J. Keough EDITOR/ASSOCIATE PUBLISHER -- Industrial Distribution, 7/1/2002
We're pleased to announce that Industrial Distribution's bi-weekly email newsletter has a new name and a new look. The newsletter is now called ID Channel Report, a name chosen to reflect our ability to reach all the players in the distribution channel — distributors, manufacturers, end users, and manufacturers' representatives.
The newsletter is available with colorful html graphics for those of you with e-mail systems that accept html, or in text or limited html.
We'll continue to feature articles on selling, sales management, e-business and other topics affecting the distribution sector. And, of course, we'll have the latest industry news, market updates and industry links. We'll also be presenting special reports from our editors, the largest editorial team in the industry.
The newsletter will include more short items from manufacturers that could not be published in our print edition because of space limitations. So please let us know about sales promotions, awards, new contracts, an expansion of your facilities, your firm's anniversary or employee involvement in their communities.
We hope you enjoy the new format and find the newsletter helpful. We'd like your input. Please e-mail your comments on what you like and don't like to me at jkeough@reedbusiness.com.
To register for the newsletter, visit our homepage at www.inddist.com.
And while you're on the homepage, please check out the articles and resources there. In addition to daily news coverage, articles from this month's edition and online exclusives, you'll find much information in each of our nine product channels. A year ago, we added channels focusing on power transmission/motion control, safety equipment and fluid power. Each of the channels contains articles from Industrial Distribution, related articles from our sister publications at Reed Business Information, news and exclusive content.
In addition, we plan on having polling questions about industry issues and in-depth analyses of events occurring in the distribution marketplace.
Watch in the next few months for changes to the homepage that will make it easier for you to find key articles by subject headings. We want the homepage to be your homepage and, as always, we look forward to your suggestions and comments.
