RealExchange adds new features

Philadelphia, Pa. — Procurement services provider ICG Commerce enhanced its RealExchange managed e-procurement platform. It provides customers the ability to access pre-negotiated savings with preferred suppliers online and supports the entire purchasing process from requisition to payment processing. The latest enhancements are designed to bring a higher level of searchability, order visibility and supplier service to electronic procurement. RealExchange streamlines the purchasing process.
For customers looking to suppliers to manage and replenish inventory, enhancements include integration of a vendor managed inventory service that allows suppliers to place orders and replenish inventory. When customer inventory reaches a predetermined level, suppliers place an electronic order against the customer's pre-approved purchase order. The supplier can fulfill the order and an electronic invoice is sent through RealExchange.
Other enhancements include: the ability for customers to request specific delivery dates; features to allow customers to request for quotes on "spot buy" purchases; improved search capabilities; and real-time order visibility.
