Datastream Systems, Inc. added three industrial suppliers to its iProcure Web-based integrated procurement network. Kaman Industrial Technologies Corp., W.W. Grainger and BOC Gases will offer their products through the iProcure network. The network offers a choice of over five million parts and technology solutions. The network also offers an array of suppliers not limited to industrial products. For example, Ricoh Corp. signed on to offer office automation solutions.

Air Systems International has been producing private label breathing air products for E.D. Bullard Co. Under the terms of a new exclusive marketing agreement, Bullard's sales force will manage the worldwide sales, marketing and factory representation of Air Systems brand products.

Rockwell Automation has added to its MRO parts management services. The company will support Reliance and Allen-Bradley brands as well as more than 1,000 brands of electrical and mechanical spare parts through Outsourced MRO, a Rockwell Automation Global Manufacturing Solutions program. Customers will pay a monthly service fee to Rockwell Automation for maintaining MRO inventory and pay for parts as needed.

Many businesses are considering restricting their employees from talking on cell phones while driving. As cell phones have become more common, so have car accidents involving cell phone use. If an employee has a collision during a business call, the company may become a target for lawsuits. New York has banned handheld cell phone use while driving and 44 states are considering similar bans.

BOC's LoTOx™ technology has cut smog-forming pollutants from three power boilers at the Medical College of Ohio in a project funded by the Ohio Coal Development office. The program demonstrates technologies that allow the burning of lower-cost coals while reducing NOx, SOx, fine particulates and other emissions.
