Ability closes doors for restructuring
Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 1/1/2002
Atlanta—Ability, maker of inventory optimization and e-fulfillment for distribution and B2B markets, is closing its operations in North America due to restructuring of its parent company iXchange based in South Africa. The parent company will be known as Front Range, Inc., to reflect the focus on its Front Range software.
Meanwhile Inventory Optimization and e-Commerce Fulfillment have been sold in separate management buyouts. The global owner of the IO software is Just Enough, Inc. The continued North American distribution and support will be through DMA Jumpoint, a subsidiary of South Africa's DMA Supply Chain Corp.
Plans for e-Commerce Fulfillment have not been announced.
