Marion, Ohio— Exact Macola, an enterprise software provider, named Jim Kent vice president of North American sales. Exact Macola also acquired Kent's Massachusetts software consulting firm, The Kent Group, which will operate as an autonomous subsidiary of Exact Macola.

According to president Bruce A. Hollinger, Kent's key initiatives will include launching the e-Synergy Business Partner program; expanding product market share and national coverage; and improving customer satisfaction. Kent will draw on his background as a successful entrepreneur and focus on insuring that Macola's business partners have the necessary tools and opportunities to make the most of their organizational growth and sales potential.
