World of Concrete, Jan. 8-12

New Orleans—The 27th annual World of Concrete will be held January 8-12 at the Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, La. The 2002 event includes a five-day, 85-session educational program, four-day product showcase and three days of demonstrations, known as "live-action Mega Demos."

This international construction event features seminars starting on Tuesday, January 8, and exhibits opening Wednesday, January 9. According to convention planners, the show will use close to 700,000 square feet of space inside and outside the convention center. In addition, the event also includes The Producer Center and World of Masonry.

The Producer Center is a special area inside World of Concrete focused on helping plant managers, dispatchers, fleet managers and material suppliers stay on top of the latest equipment and technology in the industry. World of Masonry, now in its second year, is a separate show running alongside World of Concrete. It features 50,000 square feet of exhibits and 10 specialized sessions targeted to the needs of the masonry professional.

An average 1,400 companies exhibit at the World of Concrete event and an average 65,000 construction professionals from around the world attend each year, including contractors, developers, architects, engineers, distributors, and others. For more information, visit www.worldofconcrete.com.
