Chicago— SSA Global Technologies, Inc. released version eight of its flagship software product, Business Planning and Control System. The new software update includes over 100 significant functional, technical and vertical enhancements, each with many individual components.

Enhancements include a web browser interface and SSA's Process Manager. BPCS version eight further develops the system's performance in e-business applications, CRM, factory optimization and business intelligence. SSA also improved its ability to operate with other software applications by adopting XML standards and reengineering its gateway technologies.

The BPCS software is designed for industrial markets including automotive, electronics, food and beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
