Fluid power execs to meet in Cleveland

Cleveland—The Fluid Power Distributors Assn. and the National Fluid Power Assn. will hold their Joint Fall Conference at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio, October 20 - 23.
The conference is open to FPDA and NFPA members and includes committee meetings, educational sessions, and networking opportunities. Among this year's speakers are James P. Meil, chief economist at Eaton Corp.; Dr. Adam Fein, president of Pembroke Consulting; Jordan Ayan of Creat-It! Inc.; and Marilyn Moats Kennedy of Career Strategies.
Meil's presentation is titled "Key Market Economics for 2001-02: Where Are We Going?" The session will highlight the effects of interest and inflation rates on the economic climate, along with the longer-term issues of monetary policy, competitiveness and the investment outlook.
Fein will present "Facing the Forces of Change: Future Scenarios for Wholesale Distribution," which will reveal the findings of the sixth edition of the Facing the Forces of Change® series, published every three years by the National Assn. of Wholesaler-Distributors.
Ayan's workshop is titled "Marketing Together in an E-business Age: Interactive Workshop," and Kennedy's presentation is on "Managing Change: Understanding the Demographics of the Evolving Workforce."
The conference is titled "Megahits and Record Sales" and will feature a reception and dinner at Cleveland's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
