NEWTON, MASS. — The Industrial Distribution Assn. and Industrial Distribution are collaborating to produce a series of product training manuals for industrial distributors. To date, eight manuals are available covering the following topics: saw blades; cutting tools; abrasives; hand tools; tool & die supplies; power tools; chemicals, chemical products and lubricants; and machine tools.

Each manual is an introductory guide to the product. They can be used to train new employees or as a refresher course for existing employees. Included in each guide is a history of the product, a market overview, definitions, usage tips, "upselling" ideas, quizzes, hands-on activities, and more. Each manual also includes a final self-test.
