Surplus inventory exchange for PHCP goods
By Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 12/1/2000
Hollis, N.H. and Shelton, Conn.-Unity Networking, Inc. and Eclipse Inc. will provide distributors who use Eclipse DMS software a way to automatically list their surplus inventory on Unity's WholesalerDirect marketplace, a surplus exchange for plumbing products on the Web.
"Wholesalers want a way to sell their surplus on the Web, but they don't have the time to manually enter or maintain their listings," says Adam Berger, Unity's CEO. "The new Eclipse software module completely automates the process."
Unity has provided e-commerce services to plumbing, heating, cooling and piping distributors since 1992. More than 2000 PHCP wholesalers use Unity's proprietary network for buying and selling surplus, discontinued, hard-to-find products. Unity's Website, www.WholesalerDirect.com, opens that marketplace to buyers. Unity and Eclipse have already tested the updated module at several wholesaler locations.
