Unibar supports Maxicode Web bar codes

Rochester Hills, Mich.-Unibar, Inc. announced that its e-commerce bar code printing software applications, e-BARCODE 2000T and e-BARZT, now support Maxicode bar codes over the Web.

The Maxicode capability is designed for companies accessing Web applications, such as application service providers who use United Parcel Shipping to fulfill e-commerce transactions. Developed by UPS but now an ANSI standard, Maxicode is a fixed length, two-dimensional bar code used for automated package sorting and shipping.

Account applications, shipping documents, order forms, purchase orders, invoices and pick slips created on Web servers can contain bar codes that can be viewed and printed locally on any browser-supported printer.
