SupplyWorks to help advance Web standards

By Staff -- Industrial Distribution, 10/1/2000

Bedford, Mass.-E-procurement solutions provider SupplyWorksr, Inc., joined the electronics industry's RosettaNet to help accelerate the implementation of standards for Web-enabled procurement and supply chain collaboration.

RosettaNet is a consortium advancing a set of common e-business interfaces, which form a multi-vendor language for aligning processes between supply chain partners on a global basis. SupplyWorks MAXT, the company's Web-based e-procurement solution for manufacturers, will support the RosettaNet XML-based business process standards.

"The potential for extending RosettaNet standards into other supply chains, such as in the semiconductor manufacturing and mechanical manufacturing realms, is enormous," says Jennifer Hamilton, CEO of RosettaNet. "We welcome SupplyWorks and their eProcurement expertise to our organization."
