Supply chain tools formid-sized firms

Orlando, Fla.-IBM and Manugistics Group, Inc., a software provider for enterprises and evolving trading networks, announced a supply chain collaboration solution for mid-size companies.

The solution incorporates Manugistics software and IBM platform technology, and is designed to help companies improve product visibility and flow, maximize customer service, reduce costs and increase sales. The two providers are focusing on firms in the food and agriculture, consumer packaged goods, distribution, consumer electronics, and retail industries.

The product features Manugistics' NetWORKS along with IBM Global Services consulting and implementation services, IBM MQSeries, message queuing software, RS/6000, and IBM Netfinity, servers and customer support, and financing options.
